I have been hand-developing my B&W for many years, mixing and weighing developers from scratch to get different effects, and lugging the old 8×10 around for scenics. And all the hours in the darkroom. I think it’s safe to say I’ve been kind of an expert on black and white tonal qualities. Your black and white effects are incredible, and so easy to use, and have a lot of available tweaking and fine-tuning I can do to get the precise effect I want!

I adore Michelle’s actions and presets. I consistantly use her Soft Bleach-Out action and her BW Essential action on almost all of my photos. Her generosity in free trial packs is phenomenal. All of the actions are completely adjustable, so there is no reason as to why anyone could not produce an unbelievable end result.
She is a wonderful photographer and is quick to respond to any questions regarding her actions/presets as well as her personal work.

I have tried other actions and none have ever come close to what she offers. Each action gives its own effect and I love the fact that I can tweak them to fit my needs. I love the fact that she offers a try out pack of several actions and presets for others to experience and see what they like or what fits their photographic needs. I enjoyed experimenting with the try out pack and found the Bleached-out glaze to be my favorite. She is an amazing artist and knows what works otherwise she wouldn’t be offering such awesome actions and presets.

Michelle Black’s actions are a lot of fun and a really quick way to add some creativity to your photos. They are very easy to adjust to your liking, and Michelle guides you through some of the steps where necessary, through pop up notes. They are high quality and produce beautiful results with the right images. You only need to look at her gallery and see her works to realize how versatile her actions and presets are.

I love her raw presets! I use them all the time. But just like any other presets, you have to have a good image in the first place to work with. Don’t expect anyone’s raw presets or “actions” to fix an image for you. I have had only one photo so far that the presets did not work on and I use them constantly, with adjustments of course..but that’s the beauty of her actions and presets..they are a springboard and still let you as the photographer and artist maintain your own identity in your work.
